Carlton Joseph Oliver
Carlton Joseph Oliver, 73, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from his battle with brain cancer.
He was born on May 26, 1949, to the late Julian and Clarina Oliver and was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Oliver.
Carlton was a member of Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was a Superintendent for McKee Foods and was employed there for 41 years. Carlton loved to fly airplanes in his free time, but what he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon Holder Oliver, sons, Carlton “CJ” Oliver and Douglas (Vikki) Oliver, stepson, Mike (Brandy) Early, granddaughter, Savannah Oliver, step-grandson, Zachary Early, three great-granddaughters, brothers, Julian (Jane) Oliver, Kenneth (Jeanne) Oliver, Edward Oliver and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, at Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Church, 8310 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421 with David Sitler officiating. Interment will follow at Plowman Cemetery.
