NEXT STEP MONITOR

Bethel Bible Village is a faith-based residential home for children of families in crisis. We are currently seeking a part-time Next Step Monitor to work approximately 10 - 15 hours per week. This position will provide assistance with the oversight of Bethel’s Next Step program. Next Step is a transitional living program designed to address the needs of families or single parents who are experiencing a temporary housing crisis. The Next Step Monitor supports families by connecting them with the appropriate services based on their needs, works with them to establish and monitor their budget, and ensures that they are actively engaged in moving towards independence. Responsibilities also include meeting with the families on a weekly basis to address their needs and goals, ensuring that they are upholding the standards of the program and the home where they are residing, maintaining case notes, and preparing homes for new residents. The Next Step Monitor’s schedule is flexible but can vary depending upon the availability of the families in the program. Some nights and Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications:
• Spiritual: Be an active participating Christian in a local congregation. A heart for individuals and families who are experiencing circumstances that do not allow them to provide a normal housing situation for their family.
• Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent education and work experience required.
• Specific Skills: One year of pertinent experience in case management in a related human services field. Knowledge of social services in the Chattanooga area and how to navigate those services is desired. Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Previous computer experience required.
• License: Valid driver’s license required.
• Other Requirements: Minimum age requirement for this position is 22 years of age. Applicant must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S., and successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.

Tennessee junior defensive back  Nigel Warrior  has been named to the 2018 Bednarik Award Watch List.
