Tag numbers of suspects in two different cases were traced to Trenton, Ga., men, city police said.
At NABCO Electric on 2nd Avenue, a neighbor reported seeing a red Chevrolet truck with Georgia tags at 6:50 a.m. A man carrying a small bag was seen by a rear fence.
NABCO officials arrived and found the gate had been cut.
The tag on the vehicle was traced to Saddle Club Road in Trenton.
In another incident, Anne Masincupp said she parked at Ruby Falls on the side of Lookout Mountain and went running.
While she was gone, someone broke a window on her Toyota Tacoma truck and took her cellphone, back pack, driver's license, credit cards, a $50 gift certificate, $40 in cash and various shoes and clothes.
A Ruby Falls employee saw a man in a tan Chevrolet S-10 truck driving around near where the Tacoma was parked. He got the tag number.
It traced to Back Valley Road in Trenton.
A woman went into a daycare center on Hamill Road and left her purse in the front floorboard with the door unlocked.
An employee of the daycare saw a green four-door Taurus with two white males inside pull up beside the woman's car. The driver got out, but jumped back in when he saw he was being watched.
But the employee said he got back out, went into the woman's car, snatched her purse and took off.
The Taurus traced to a Williamson County, Tn., man.
At Two Men and a Truck, an official said a former employee had been continuing to use a company gas card.
Officials said Kevin Venier had run up $734 in purchases on the card - just through last Oct. 26. Warrants were taken out against him.
Lisa Alpert said she went to Carson Street to visit a girlfriend. She said two black males asked for a ride "through the tunnel."
She said she took them to Shallowford Manor on Shallowford Road, then one forced her out by holding some object to her neck.
The men then drove off with her vehicle. She said she knew one of the men as "Jason." She said she had seen them hanging around Carson Street.
Dianna Hurd of N. Hickory Street said her son found the back door open and the bedroom ransacked.
She said she is missing $5,000 in cash that was hidden in a purse, a $400 gold nugget ring, a $500 gold herring-type necklace and a $400 Sony PSP.
Kenny Wilson said he found someone had been in the closet of his residence in the 2500 block of Wilson Street. He said someone had poured bleach on all of his dress suits.
Police said there was $500 in damage to 20 suits. There was no sign of forced entry.
Starliff Sanford said she was in a vehicle with Travis Garth when they started arguing "about where she would use the bathroom."
She said Garth became enraged and began striking her in the face with a closed fist.
Police said she had a swollen eye, a busted lip and marks on her neck.
A warrant was taken against Garth.
