Lookout Mountain United Methodist Church will celebrate Palm/Passion Sunday with a service of scripture and hymns at the 11 a.m. service on April 1. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m.
Holy Week services include Holy Thursday Communion on April 5 at 7 p.m., Good Friday prayer service at noon on April 6, and a Community Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. on April 7.
Easter Sunday will begin with a joint Easter Sunrise Service in Rock City Gardens at 7 a.m. (gates open at 6:30). This annual service is a tradition on Lookout Mountain and is being shared with First Baptist Church of Lookout Mountain, Lookout Mountain Baptist Church, Lookout Mountain United Methodist Church and St Elmo United Methodist Church. The public is invited. In case of rain, the service will be held at Lookout Mountain Baptist Church. The public is invited.
At 11 a.m., Reverend Wayne Cook will lead the Easter Celebration as he speaks on the topic “The Resurrection – What Does it Mean for us?”
