Hixson’s Lady Wildcats kept their District 6-AA fastpitch softball record perfect Tuesday afternoon at Warner Park with a 6-0 victory over Notre Dame.
Coach Janet Tate’s Wildcats improved to 12-10 overall and 6-0 in the district standings.
Jessica Gravitte, utilizing her changeup to perfection, pitched a five-hitter, struck out three, walked two and hit one for Hixson.
Whitney Galloway was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI for the Lady Wildcats and Rachael Million was 2-for-3.
Porsche Johnson, Meagan Grant and Genieve Siena each had RBI singles for Hixson. Rebecca Byrd and Taylor Lanham also had singles.
Hixson plays at district rival East Ridge on Thursday.
