Project C.A.R.E. Forms Partnership To Help With Drug Discounts
posted April 28, 2007

Project C.A.R.E. founder Ansley Reagan announced that the organization has formed a partnership with Advantage Wellness of America to provide discount pricing to Tennessee residents for prescription drugs.

Ms. Reagan said, "The VolunteerRX discount drug card was created with senior citizens in mind to assist them with the purchasing their monthly medications. However, anyone, young or old, across Tennessee can benefit for the usage of the VolunteerRX discount drug card."

She said savings range from five to 70 percent with an average savings of about 17%. Tennesseans can purchase their prescription drugs at discounted prices by applying for their VolunteerRX discount card. There is no cost to the applicant for enrolling or using the card.

Ms. Reagan said it is easy to enroll. Visit the website http://www.volunteerRXCard.com/, submit your name, address, and email address, and click the Submit button. Your card will be created and displayed on the web page. Print the page containing your card by clicking the "Click here to print your card" link. Follow the instructions to cut out the card from the printout, and then use the card at any of the many participating pharmacies to receive your discounts.

She said prescription drugs can be purchased from thousands of pharmacies nationwide, including Walgreens, Eckerd, Target and Food City.

Project C.A.R.E. (Community Alliance for Reaching the Elderly) is an organization dedicated to helping enhance the quality of life for elderly people through a variety of volunteer-based initiatives at the community level. The mission of the program is to establish community alliances that will promote interaction with the elderly, and to raise awareness for elderly citizens living in unhealthy conditions or that simply have no family support, it was stated.

According to Ms. Reagan, the partnership with Advantage Wellness of America to provide free discounts on prescription drugs "is one more way that Project C.A.R.E. is helping to enhance the quality of life for our senior citizens and Tennesseans alike."
