On Senior Night at Boyd-Buchanan High School, the seniors responded with outstanding performances.
Kyra Lee and Sheena Hixson, the Lady Bucs' only two seniors, combined each had two hits and a double as Boyd-Buchanan beat Central, 6-2, in a fastpitch softball game.
Lee also improved to 16-10 by pitching a five-hitter with 16 strikeouts and no walks.
Jennifer Downs added a 2-for-3 performance with two RBI for the Lady Bucs and Lauren Cline drove in three runs.
Boyd-Buchanan improved to 22-15 and will play host to Tyner at 5 on Thursday night (5-3) in the first round of the District 5-AA Tournament.
The tournament site will shift to Tyner Recreation Center next week.
