A man said he was standing behind a Shallowford Road motel using his cell phone when he was knocked out and robbed.

Neander Oliveria said two black males walked toward him, then one hit him in the side of the head.

He said he slumped to the ground, then awakened about 10 minutes later. His cell phone and motel room key were gone.

They were described as between 5'10"-6' and about 20 years old.

David Johnson said he was walking up E. 17th Street when he saw three black males sitting by the street.

He said he asked if they had seen his wife. They asked if he had any money, and he said he didn't.

He said the trio then began punching him in the face and knocked him to the ground. They took his wallet and ran off.

Thomas Whatley was found lying in the middle of West Avenue. Police said he appeared to be very intoxicated.

He said two black males had jumped out of a vehicle, punched him and took his wallet.

A witness said he saw the pair get out of a blue Oldsmobile, knock the man down and then rifle through his wallet.

A chase that led across two barbed wire fences sent a police officer and two suspects to the hospital.

Officer B. Wood said he started the pursuit after seeing two men get out of a stolen vehicle.

They ran through woods and then over the first barbed wire fence. The officer followed them over the fence.

The pair came to another fence and scaled it. This time the officer did not follow. But he did capture them in the 1600 block of Dodds Avenue.

The officer required 10 stitches to repair a laceration to his arm.

One suspect had a severe laceration to his left hand, and the other had lacerations to his mouth and left hand.

Kathy Hyter of Ocoee Street said Deondria Poole - her granddaughter's mother - came in "raising cane" and they began fighting.

She said Ms. Poole broke a lamp and began throwing items around, breaking them. She said she threw a glass ash tray at her and then got a butcher knife from the kitchen and came after her.

She said a man intervened and kept her from getting cut.

Ms. Poole was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism.

Darnnelle Ellison came home to Bailey Avenue to find the front glass window shattered and a number of clothing items missing.

Police said an intoxicated female neighbor said a man offered to sell her a brown suitcase for $5. Mr. Ellison identified it as his.

June Wells said burglars took thousands of dollars worth of electronic equipment from a residence he had just moved into on Duncan Avenue.

He said he came home, found the back door kicked in, and the place ransacked.

Items missing include rings and other jewelry, $600 worth of gold teeth, 500 DVDs valued at $7,500, four small TVs and a 42" TV worth $900, several CD players, including one valued at $1,000, a $3,500 digital mixer and about $4,500 of other electronic studio equipment.

John Noseworthy of Dunwoody Drive said he came home and found a package. He said it was an intake manifold for a Jetta. The bill was $571.

He said he contacted German Performance and found that someone was apparently using his information and ordering other items as well.

Carl Duncan of Canton, Ga., said he left his billfold at the Kangaroo Express on Browns Ferry Road.

It was gone when he returned - along with the $1,000 in cash that was inside.
