Toxic Air Far Worse Than Cigarette Smoke
posted May 25, 2007

I am against the state making laws that ban smoking in the workplace, bars and restaurants, or anywhere else that a person wants to smoke.

It should be up to the workplace, bar and restaurant owners to make this type of call. If an institution wants to ban smoking on their grounds, let 'em and let the lawmakers shut up about it.

I am tired of the way the people are losing their individual freedoms to the insatiable appetite of the lawmakers who have nothing better to do than continually pound the people down with constant, needless and never-ending lawmaking. Enough already.

I am tired of "cigarette smoking" being used as the constant whipping boy by the ignorant masses and the lawmakers while they ignore the far greater hazards to public health that fill the air throughout the state and country in the way of gasoline engine emissions and other toxic gases coming from factories, foundries and smokestacks that are killing us daily and as freely as the dirty air we breath in our cities and towns, which is worse than cigarette smoke by a country mile.
