Chattanooga Association Of Realtors Joins Riverbend Habitat House Building Effort posted May 31, 2007 A new partner has joined the effort to build a Habitat for Humanity house during Riverbend 2007, officials of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga announced. “We are pleased to announce that the Chattanooga Association of Realtors has joined the Riverbend House effort as a Covenant Partner,” said John Atherton, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. “Every day Realtors are reaching out to connect people to homes and helping them appreciate what homeownership is all about,” said Jason Farmer, Chattanooga Association of Realtors President. “Being a part of this worthy project is one more way we can help someone achieve the dream of homeownership.” Already on board for the effort are Covenant Partner, America’s Home Place, Presenting Partners, Chattanooga State and the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union and 27 other Chattanooga businesses who have supplied goods or services, noted Mr. Atherton. “Thanks to all of our partners, a Habitat home will be built to completion on the festival site, near the River Stage,” said Mr. Atherton. “This is a unique opportunity for thousands of people to have an up close view of Habitat in action. We hope that many people will be encouraged to invest in transforming our community as our partners have done through this effort.” |
