A man said he was robbed at gunpoint on Standifer Gap Road.
David Gardner said he had just arrived home when two black males stopped him in the parking lot of his complex.
He said they both were armed with silver .9-mm handguns.
One held a gun to his head, while the other rifled through his pockets. He said they got everything he had on him.
He was told to bend over as they ran across the street behind an apartment complex.
Lauren Sisemore said her vehicle was broken into while parked near First Tennessee Pavilion on Carter Street by Finley Stadium.
A passenger window was knocked out of the 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier and a CD player was taken. The dashboard suffered significant damage.
The CD player was valued at $200 and the damage to the car was put at $500.
Also at the First Tennessee Pavilion, a thief got on the roof of a concession area and tore apart a heating and air conditioning system to get the copper parts.
There was several thousand dollars worth of damage to the unit.
There was also a total loss of the perishables in the cooler section of the concession area.
Elizabeth Whittinghill of Shallowford Road found that her 2002 Isuzu Rodeo was broken into.
A rear passenger door window was knocked out, and a purse and other items were taken.
Robert Barnett of Avalon Avenue went out to find his 2005 BMW 525 almost destroyed.
There were multiple large dents in the hood. Both passenger side windows were knocked out as were the front and rear windshields, the sunroof and a side mirror.
Mr. Barnett said he did not know anyone he was having problems with.
Angela Winton of Forest Highland Drive reported that a rock was thrown through her living room window as well as the window of her son's bedroom.
She suspects juveniles after reporting they had knocked over a port-o-let at a nearby construction site.
At a convenience store on Amnicola Highway, a black male came in with a black and white backpack. He proceeded to load it with six Bud Lites.
The clerk told him she was calling police. He and the beer were gone by the time officers arrived.
Police answered a call of a man who shot himself in the head on Anne Street.
The man said he had not meant to shoot himself and denied he was trying to kill himself.
A witness said the man got a gun, put it to his head and pulled the trigger. He said the man appeared in disbelief that he was injured by the bullet, which grazed his scalp.
Police were told the man has a lot to drink and plays with guns about every six months.
