Holston Army Ammunition Plant has cancelled all deer hunts for the
upcoming 2007 deer hunting season, according to Bruce Cole with the HAAP.
“In order to meet new security requirements, the installation has made significant changes to the hunting program but was unable to have the new program approved in time to implement the announcement, drawing, and hunter notification process prior to the start of this year’s deer hunting season,” said Cole.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances the installation anticipates holding
hunts again in 2008.
