With Tennessee’s 2007 dove season beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, September 1, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has made looking for a dove field in Tennessee a little easier.
Click HERE to find a list of public fields on TWRA’s Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), plus dove fields that TWRA has leased. The web page includes maps of each region with the dove fields identified, along with additional information about each field.
The page will be updated as new information becomes available.
Hunters who do not have access to TWRA’s website, can contact the TWRA Regional Office in their area or watch their local newspapers during the latter part of August for dove field information.

The following are the 2007 TWRA public leased dove fields for Region 3:
Marion County
Crops Planted : 25 acres in foxtail millet. (Loyd Hood Farm)
Hunt dates : Sept. 1, 2, 8 and 9
Directions: From Jasper, go to Jones Crossing; turn right, then turn right on to Poplar Grove Church Rd. At Calhoun Farms, turn left at farm sign. Turn right on Caroline Chapel Rd. Go until you see signs to field.
Rhea County
Crops Planted : 25 acres in wheat. (James Porter, Sr. Farm)
Hunting Dates : Sept. 1, 2 and 5.
Directions : From Hwy. 68 at the Wolf Creek Community turn on to Hwy. 302 South. Go to Porter Lake Rd. (about 2 miles), turn left, go to end of road. (about 1 mile).
Rhea County
Crops Planted : 20 acres in wheat. (Curtis Fisher Farm)
Hunting Dates : Sept 1. 2 and 8, (thirty minutes before sunrise to sunset).
Directions : From Hwy. 68 at the Wolf Creek Community turn on to Hwy. 302 South, go to Texas Grove Road (about 2.5 miles), turn right. Follow signs.
