Newspaper Cartoonist Plante Moving To Oklahoma

Longtime Chattanooga Times cartoonist Bruce Plante is leaving Chattanooga.

The award-winning cartoonist will be moving to Tulsa, Okla.

His cartoons have been reprinted in a number of national publications. He is syndicated in 80 different outlets, including 40 Tennessee newspapers.

He grew up in Texarkana, Ark., and became the first staff editorial cartoonist for the Chattanooga Times in 1985.

Mr. Plante, 52, has coached Little League baseball and football for 17 years for his two sons Jonathan and Benjamin. He and his wife, Betsy, recently celebrated their 29th anniversary.
