Members from the Lions Clubs in Chattanooga Valley, Chatsworth, Chickamauga, and Rossville gathered for a meal and an evening of fun at Boynton United Methodist Church.
Lions Zone Chairman David Charlock coordinated the evening’s festivities. “These gatherings are primarily to build fellowship between the clubs and share information about what each group is doing in their communities,” he said.
The groups often work together to organize eye screenings in cooperative efforts. They also provide eyeglasses to needy candidates.
The organization works on a statewide level with Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind and the Emory Child Care Center.
Two other major community projects of the Boynton Lions Club are the long-term care and maintenance of the Boynton and Dailey Hill cemeteries.

The Boynton Lions Club meets the second Tuesday each month at 6:30 p.m. at Boynton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Members coordinate a covered dish supper. Membership dues are $20 per quarter. For more information call (706) 866-2230.
