Bryan "Beezy” Padgett Shaw, 57, died on Friday, October 26, 2007.

A longtime former resident of Signal Mountain, Beezy had recently made Soddy-Daisy his home.

He was a graduate of City High School and a 1974 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Beezy had been a flight instructor for Chattanooga State prior to founding Signal Communications. Later he worked for Chattanooga Business Machines as well as Precision Aerodynamics. He was the former owner and operator of Hiper USA, a parachute manufacturing company and taught skydiving.

He is survived by his wife, Tracie Welch Shaw; parents, Earl and Gerry Shaw; four children, Erin Burnap (Kenny), Bryan Shaw, Jr. (Mary), Sunny and Elsie Shaw; two granddaughters, Kalie and Charlotte; two sisters, Sandy Webb (Larry) and Trudy Miller (Warren); several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Beezy’s life will be held in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Monday, at 5 p.m.

The family will gather with friends on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. and on Monday from 3 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Noel Scidmore and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to the Fuller Cancer Center; 4750 Battlefield Parkway, Ringgold, Ga. 30736.
