Hancocks last two games have been the most productive of his career. He followed up a pair of catches for 19 yards against South Carolina with career highs of five catches, 32 yards and his first collegiate touchdown in Saturdays win over Louisiana-Lafayette. For the year, Hancock has 12 catches for 80 yards. In the community, Hancock has taken on more of a role in the teams outreach efforts. He is a regular on hospital visits and has become a favorite with the local boys and girls clubs. COACH FULMERS TUESDAY MEDIA DAY COMMENTS With the game last week being sandwiched between a big win versus South Carolina and this huge football game coming up with Arkansas, there was concern on my partand I told the team soabout how they would handle the week. To their credit, they did an exceptionally good job of working and getting themselves prepared. It wasnt just getting ready for a not-very-good Louisiana-Lafayette football team, but getting ready for the stretch run that we have coming, starting with Arkansas. Their focus was good. We had great fundamental work during the course of the week. I do think there will be some carryover that will come from that ballgame. We did a great job of taking care of the football. We ran the ball efficiently in the game; we got some takeaways again. Our defense has done a good job the last two weeks of doing that. We blocked a kick for a score that was a big play. Those attitudes, as we start preparation today for this week, will be really important. The carryover will be important. You flip on the Arkansas-South Carolina film and it is unbelievably impressive from an Arkansas offensive standpoint. You watch how they totally manhandled a South Carolina defense that we thought was pretty good. Darren McFadden is easily one of top running backs in the country with all that he brings to the table. He is complementedif thats the right word, because there is not much difference between themby Felix Jones and his ability as a running back. Four-hundred and eighty-seven yards rushing in one football game is incredible against a Southeastern Conference football team. (McFadden and Jones) are complemented by a very fine offensive line that we have great respect for; they play very physical. The quarterback does a nice job, and the wide receivers are very capable. (Marcus) Monk made three or four plays on us last year, along with the tight ends. The rushing average of 6.47 yards per attempt is quite impressive. I think their defense complements their offense very well. They are very aggressive. They lead the Southeastern Conference in takeaways; they lead the conference in third-down production, both of which puts the offense back on the field more quickly than anybody thats playing them would like. Theyve done an excellent job defensively throughout the year. Kicking-game wise, they have a good-looking group of guys that kick the ball very well; the return game is successful. That will also be a challenge for our football team. There is a lot at stake for us and for them going into this game because, like us, they have won five out of their last six. I expect a very physical football game. In the Southeastern Conference, youve got to win at the line of scrimmage. I challenged our guys on the offensive and defensive fronts, the tight ends and linebackers to take on that challenge. We cannot give up chunks of yards like South Carolina did. Weve got to contain those guys the very best that we can. I think another interesting match up will be the veteran quarterbacks playing against each other. Erik (Ainge) has had a very fine year for us, as has Casey Dick for them. We need a great crowd, and I know it will be. This is an exciting opportunity and challenge for our football team. I hope everybody will be early and be loud. We are 5-0 at home and we hope to continue that through this week. It should be a great football game.
