Voters To Choose Thursday Between Berke, Brock Turnout Light In Early Voting posted November 12, 2007 Voters go to the polls on Thursday to choose between Democrat Andy Berke and Republican Oscar Brock to replace Ward Crutchfield in state Senate District 10. Turnout was light in early voting, which ended on Saturday. There were 3,347 ballots cast in Hamilton County out of 77,010 registered voters. In Marion County, 970 early votes were cast. Gov. Phil Bredesen on Saturday joined in the campaigning for attorney Berke, who is in his first political race. Mr. Brock, whose family has long been active in politics, was helped by Sen. Bob Corker and will also get a visit from Sen. Lamar Alexander. The district includes all of Marion County and part of Hamilton County. The polls will be open on Thursday in Hamilton County from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. |
