Andy Berke Captures State Senate District 10 Seat
Democrat Wins Both Hamilton County, Marion County

Democrat Andy Berke captured the 10th District state Senate race over Republican Oscar Brock on Thursday.

Final totals in Hamilton County:

Andy Berke 7,875 63.49%
Oscar Brock 4,509 36.35%
Write-in Votes 20 0.16%

In Marion County, with all 20 precincts reporting, it was:

Andy Berke 1,915
Oscar Brock 1,238

The district includes all of Marion County and 72 precincts in Hamilton County.

The candidates are seeking to replace longtime Sen. Ward Crutchfield, who resigned after pleading guilty to federal bribery charges.

Both men are in their first political campaigns.

Mr. Berke is a Chattanooga attorney, while Mr. Brock is a local businessman.
