Corker Says Trent Lott To Be Missed In Senate posted November 26, 2007 Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) made the following statement regarding Senate Republican Whip Trent Lott’s (R-MS) decision to resign from the Senate at the end of the year. "As a new senator, I've benefited greatly from Trent's knowledge and experience about how to effectively make a difference in the United States Senate," said Sen. Corker. "For more than three decades, Sen. Lott has been a great public servant to the people of Mississippi in Congress and his strong leadership will be greatly missed. I extend my best wishes to Trent, and his wife Patricia, as they begin the next phase of their lives together." |
