Fire broke out at a Dayton home occupied by eight people early Monday morning, and one did not make it out.
A 21-year-old man died in the blaze. He was sleeping in the rear of the residence when the fire started in the living room.
The victim was identified as Hector Rojas Hernandez from Georgia.
Fire officials said they initially thought more people were trapped inside the home on Memorial Street.
The flames were so intense that the siding on an adjacent house melted.
Investigation into the cause of the blaze is continuing.
