Family Gets Out Of Burning House On Jocelyn Drive

A family of three got out safely from a burning house on Jocelyn Drive on Monday morning.

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to 6306 Jocelyn Dr. on a reported house fire at 5:04 a.m.

Upon arrival, fire crews made entry into the house to find fire in the back bedroom. The fire was contained to the back bedroom and was quickly extinguished.

The residents were out of the house safely when fire crews arrived.

The loss from the fire is estimated at $20,000.

The cause of the fire was determined to be from an electrical outlet.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene to give assistance to the family. The neighbors across the street let the family of three sit in their home out of the cold until the American Red Cross arrived.
