Woman Mad Over Husband's Alleged Affair, Drives Lexus Into House posted January 7, 2008
Mary E. Harbour McBryar was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and vandalism. Around 5:40 a m., Police were dispatched to 727 Mauldeth Road on a reported disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a 2003 Lexus SUV had been driven into the residence. The officers talked with Brad McBryar of Chattanooga, who said he and his wife were having an argument over an alleged affair between him and the resident who lives at the Mauldeth Street address. Mr. McBryar said his wife threatened him and then accelerated the vehicle causing it to crash into the residence. The victim/resident said she confronted Mrs. McBryar, who struck her in the nose causing a laceration. There were no other injuries reported in the incident. However, the residence sustained extensive damage. Ms. McBryar was located at a relative’s residence and arrested. She was booked and then released on bond from the Hamilton County Jail. |
