The fair will feature exhibits from around the region demonstrating "green" initiatives different organizations are taking.
Presenters will include: Cleveland High School which will display their solar car, solar bike and bio diesel; Cleveland State Community College will present their solar energy display and information on energy efficient homes; TVA will have two displays with information on their work with geothermal energy and greenpower; Crabtree Farms will have a display on community gardening; and Tennessee Interfaith Power and Light will have information about their Global Warming Task Force.
"The fair will be a great opportunity for local people and Lee University students to actually see how alternative energy sources work and talk to the experts that are involved in designing the future," said Dr. Murl Dirksen, the fair's organizer. "We are excited about hosting the fair and believe that it will provide information that many of us need to live more responsibly and reduce the impact that we are having on our environment."
