Tickets On Sale For Tour Of Downtown Living

Tickets are now available for the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership’s 2008 Tour of Downtown Living to be held on Sunday, March 30.

Beginning at 1 p.m., nine residential properties including houses, condominiums and townhomes will be open to tour participants. Ticket holders may travel throughout downtown via shuttle or at their own pace to view the unique homes.

The properties featured on this year’s tour include: Palmetto 8 Townhomes, Lofts on Main, 1900 Cowart, 17th and Long, Stanton Row Townhomes, Loveman’s on Market and single-family dwellings in the MLK Neighborhood and on 4th Street.

Scheduled shuttle tours, which require advance reservations, will depart from Miller Plaza beginning at 1 p.m., with the last pick-up taking place at 3:45 p.m. The shuttle will take patrons on a predetermined route to each featured property with a tour guide providing details of each district. The tour will last two and one-half hours. Those who have purchased self-guided tickets may begin the tour at any property and visit the others in any order they choose from 1-6 p.m.

Shuttle tour tickets are $18 and must be purchased in advance. Shuttle tickets for children 10 and under are $12. “Tour badges,” which will serve as the ticket for the tour, may be purchased by visiting www.downtownchattanooga.org or by calling 265-0771.

Self-Guided “tour badges” are $15 and may be also purchased in advance or at the Waterhouse Pavilion from 12:30-4 p.m. on the day of the tour. Self-guided tickets for children 10 and under are $7. Orders received by March 24 will be issued tickets via return mail. Badges purchased after March 24 will be available for pick up at the Waterhouse Pavilion in Miller Plaza beginning at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the tour.
