City Council Agenda For Tuesday Night

Here is the City Council agenda for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at City Hall:

V. Ordinances - Final Reading:

a) An ordinance appropriating from the Chattanooga Outdoor Budget to the Chattanooga Track Club the amount of $5,000.00 as part of the partnership to host the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon.

VI. Ordinances - First Reading:

a) 2007-185 DeFoor Brothers, LLC (Street Name Change). An ordinance to change the right-of-way name for part of the 2300 block of Timberlane Trail to Lifestyle Way, more particularly described herein and as shown on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. (Recommended for approval by Planning and Public Works.)

b) 2007-186 DeFoor Brothers, LLC (Street Name Change). An ordinance to change the right-of-way name for part of the 7300 block of McCutcheon Road to Lifestyle Way, more particularly described herein and as shown on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. (Recommended for approval by Planning and Public Works.)

VII. Resolutions:

a) A resolution to make certain findings relating to the Scannell Properties #86, LLC and FedEx Freight East, Inc. Project, to delegate certain authority to the Industrial Development Board of the County of Hamilton, Tennessee, and to authorize the Mayor to enter into and execute an agreement for Payments in Lieu of Ad Valorem Taxes.

b) A resolution to make certain findings relating to FedEx Freight East, Inc. Project, to delegate certain authority to the Industrial Development Board of the County of Hamilton, Tennessee, and to authorize the Mayor to enter into and execute an agreement for Payments in Lieu of Ad Valorem Taxes.

c) A resolution removing selected parcels from the North Shore Zoning Moratorium Area as shown in the map attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

d) A resolution authorizing the appointment of Scott R. DeLap as special policeman (armed) for the Chattanooga Police Department, to do special duty as prescribed herein, subject to certain conditions. (Added by permission of Councilmen Benson and Rico.)

e) A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and the Electric Power Board (EPB), a division of the City, regarding an EPB Interdivision Loan in an amount not to exceed $60,000,000.00 of Electric System Funds to be used for capital expenditures and for working capital for the Cable and Internet Business Division, which loan will be guaranteed in the event that the Cable and Internet Business Division has insufficient funds to pay principal and interest due in a particular year on the Electric Division Loan, by a reduction in the EPB in lieu of tax payments to the City on all new investments after January 1, 2008, subject to Hamilton County agreeing to forego its incremental taxes on the "Covered Assets" as defined in said agreement except for those taxes that would be payable to the School System of Hamilton County. (Added by permission of the Economic Development Committee.)
