Obama Is Not Qualified, And Hillary Is Scary
posted February 24, 2008

It looks like the Democratic convention will be bloody and ugly as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama duke it out for the nomination. I don’t think it really matters which of these two become the nominee.

First, we cannot afford either one. Hillary would mandate healthcare for everyone in the United States and that means money and a lot of it. Government 101 tells us that the government does not make any money, they do not earn it, nor invest it. The government only gets money by taxes, which mean it comes out of our pocket. If it is coming out of my pocket, then I would rather pay for my own healthcare.

Secondly, I cannot name anything that the government does well so why would I want them handling my healthcare?

So if you think Social Security is the best-run government program, then vote Hillary as she will create another one just like it. Oh, here’s a secret, get a preview by getting some healthcare at a VA hospital. That is our future. No thank you.

Barack is not much better. When you peruse his website you will find many Democratic code words. For example, under education you see he will provide affordable and high quality child care. So who will pay for it? Ah, that’s right, we will. Instead of punishing low performance schools, he will support them. That is code for more money. Right, you are catching on, out of our pocket. Every single line in education said increase funding.

So what program will he cut? I guess he will underfund the military or something. You cannot just raise taxes and you cannot just tax the wealthy. The wealthy already pay the majority of the tax burden so they will just loophole their money if you raise the taxes. Then he will have to come after us. So your taxes are going up.

Obama also talks about passing new legislation to fix education. I think I would like my President to have passed legislation for the first time before he/she becomes President. Maybe Barack should spend a little more time passing some, any, legislation before running for the presidency.

I just don’t get the Change America tour of Barack. Change what exactly? I like change, but only if it is thought out. I do not like change just for change sake without spelling out the how and the why. We will change just because we will elect someone new this year. Since we are going to change anyway I want to change to the right person. I think Barack wants us to vote for him just because he is black and young. He is black and he is young, but he is just not qualified. And Hillary is just scary.
