posted March 3, 2008

As part of the 2007 Strategic Plan, TVA is developing long-term plans to use power more efficiently, reduce the growth in demand, and make more effective use of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and methane gas.

Part of the process will include public listening sessions, the first of which will be held in Knoxville, March 4 and 5.

The public listening sessions will involve the TVA Board and the public learning more about Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy from experts.

The Energy Efficiency session will be on Tuesday, from 1-5 p.m.

The Renewable Energy session will be on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The sessions will take place in the Lecture Hall, Knoxville Convention Center, 701 Henley St., Knoxville, Tn. 37902.

The sessions are open to the public, and there will be opportunity for public comments at end of each day’s session.
