Disney Family.com Tuesday revealed its 50 Best Family Vacations on Disney Family Travel (www.family.com/travel), a newly-launched travel site specifically designed for families with kids of all ages and interests. The 50 Best Family Vacations is a unique guide of the top 50 fun and accessible destinations in America compiled by parents, travel experts and Family.com editors. Among the 50 Best Family Vacations is Chattanooga, known for the Creative Discovery Museum, Tennessee Aquarium, and country music scene. Disney Family.com Travel website includes content, search and community elements, allowing families to customize their vacation plans.
For each of the Disney Family.com Travel 50 Best Family Vacation destinations, the website provides age-appropriate recommendations for places to stay and eat, maps, actual video tours of family vacations, fun facts and other activities. • Best Vacations - Allows visitors to customize their family vacations - including where to go, things to do, places to see and eat - by geographic location and age of child. The search results are extracted from the "Best Family Vacations" list.
• Travel Deals - Moms and dads can search by travel destinations or the best deals (packages, flights, hotels and cruises) directly through Disney Family Travel partner, Expedia.com.
• Travel Tips - To ensure travel plans run as smoothly as possible, Disney FamilyTravel enlisted parenting experts to write articles and share advice for the "Travel Tips" section of the website. Topics include planning and budgeting, packing and preparation, travel games, and safety.
• Family Travelers - Here readers can share their own "Favorite Vacation Moments" - the good, the bad and the hysterical! Readers can also provide reviews of destinations, restaurants or hotels.
• My Travel - The "My Travel" tab helps users capture and save their favorite travel pages from the website for review now or to save for later.
Disney Family.com will continue to add content and features to Disney Family.com Travel throughout the year. From Feb. 18 - March 24, a "Favorite Vacation Moments" contest invites visitors to post their favorite stories and photos, and "One Tank Trips," a new feature on car travel, will launch soon.
