Lady Mocs Fall To Kansas State, 69-59 posted March 23, 2008
The Lady Mocs were up 22-18 after Brooke Hand hit three straight three pointers. UTC trailed by only a point at the half, and then got a six-point advantage early in the second half. Kansas State pulled away down the stretch, connecting on their free throws. Laura Hall and Hand led the Lady Mocs. Kansas State was playing without All-American candidate Kimberly Dietz, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury. But little-used reserve Kelsey Nelson stepped in and scored a career-high 20 points. Alex Anderson was held to only nine points. UTC last lost Dec. 1 to Alabama A&M. Only other defeats were to Tennessee and Louisville. |
