Retired From Catoosa County School System

Bernice Woolsey Gearhart, 92, of Collegedale, died on March 22, 2008 at her residence.
She had been a member of Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1946. She retired from the Catoosa County School System after many years of service. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from SMC and also had her masters in Library Science, Special Education and English.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Gearhart.
She is survived by her daughter, Letitia Gearhart, Collegedale; sons, Joel W. (Lyndia) Gearhart, Halls, Tn. and Jon Michael Gearhart, Marietta, Ga.; brothers, Elmo Woolsey, Arkansas, and Milton Woolsey, Memphis, Tn.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Dwight Herod officiating. Burial will follow in the Collegedale Cemetery.
