A Harrison woman was killed and another woman injured in a head-on crash on Hickory Valley Road on Tuesday morning.
Police said Patsy Martin, 61, was traveling northbound on Hickory Valley Road when her 2007 Ford Focus crossed the center line and struck a 2001 Nissan Minivan driven by Sarah Strickland of Chattanooga.
Mrs. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mrs. Strickland suffered a fractured ankle and was taken to Erlanger Hospital, where she is expected to make a full recovery.
There will be no charges placed in this accident that happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Hickory Valley Road near Highway 58.
It was the city's fifth traffic fatality of the year.
