Defending Champion Ooltewah Heads 9-Team Field

The defending champion Ooltewah Owls headline a group of nine teams that will begin play Thursday afternoon in the 2008 Pounder Invitational baseball tournament.
The tournament will be played at two fields, including Hixson and host Central with pool play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Sunday's semifinals are set for 1 p.m. with the Pool A winner facing the Pool B runner-up at Hixson and the Pool B winner facing the Pool A runner-up at Central.
The championship game will follow at 4 on Central's field.
Those teams in Pool A include Hixson, Bradley, CSAS and Ooltewah. Five teams in Pool B include Soddy Daisy, Greenville, S.C., Cleveland, Davy Crockett and host Central.
Two games will be played at each site on Thursday with three on Friday and four on Saturday.
