A man who said he was "tired of running" called Chattanooga Police and turned over a stolen car to officers.
Bill Burk said he stole the vehicle in Cookeville and had been smoking crack cocaine for several days.
He dialed 911 from a location on 4th Avenue.
Officers were handed a 1998 Pontiac Sunbird. They were not immediately able to locate the owner.
They found that Burk is wanted in Cookeville for theft over $1,000 and a burglary probation violation.
He was taken to the County Jail and the Sunbird was hauled away by a wrecker.

Steve Underwood, a driver for Five Star Food Service, said he was filling vending machines inside Modern Industries when someone broke into his work vehicle.
He spotted a black male go from behind the vehicle and get in a dark-colored SUV driven by another black male.
The driver found that a lock at the back of the truck had been cut, and the lock on the safe was also cut. Both locks were missing.
Also gone was about a thousand dollars.

The caregiver for Merrill Watts said he came home from work and told her that morning he had been accosted at gunpoint.
He said a black male came up to him at the corner of Morningside and East Main Street at Ferger Place. He said the man had a small, gold-colored handgun and said, "Give me your money."
Mr. Watts said he told the man he did not have any money. He said the robber, who was wearing a white hoodie, then grabbed a chain on his wallet. The chain broke off, and the robber left with it. He got back in a vehicle and drove off.

Patrick Hammonds said while he was at Logan's on Gunbarrel Road, someone broke into his vehicle. He had left the window cracked.
The thief took a diamond wedding ring, a Kenneth Cole watch and $80.

A clerk at the Kangaroo Express on Dallas Road said a white male drove up in an older mid-size pickup truck with a loud exhaust. The man - described as about 35 years old, 6'3" and 180 pounds - came in the store.
He picked up three cases of Bud Lite beer and walked to the door without paying.
Before departing, he told the clerk, "I'm going to have a good time tonight."
