The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation say the professional con man recently placed on the agency's Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list is Todd Joseph Sweet.

Officials said Sweet, 34, is an escapee from the Michigan Department of Corrections. He is from Muskegon, Mich.

Investigators said he walked away from work detail at the Kinross Correctional Facility in the Upper Peninsula last May while he was serving time for larceny and fraud.

He earlier served time for carrying a concealed weapon.

Sweet is wanted for theft over $60,000 in Tennessee for swindling automobiles from a car dealership in Sweetwater.

He is described as 5'8" weighing 230 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has tattoos on both arms and scars on his right knee and ankle and left leg.

There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Anyone with information should call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
