The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate the opening of the Flavors of Italy Italian Restaurant with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 25. The business is located at 10330 Dayton Pike in Soddy-Daisy.
The owners, Chef Giuseppe Iannuzzi and Ana Maria Iannuzzi, have converted a private residence into a beautiful restaurant which scores of guests enjoyed during the opening celebration.
The restaurant serves a variety of authentic Italian food for lunch and dinner. Menu items range from fresh tomato and mozzarella caprese to eggplant rollatini to ravioli sorrentina. Other featured items include bruchetta, lasagna and pasta primavera featured. Jumbo gourmet hot and cold subs, salads and pizzas are also available.
A “bambini” menu caters to the children in the new establishment billed as a “family restaurant.”
Chef Iannuzzi is a 30-year veteran of the culinary business. After graduating from culinary school in Salerno, Italy, he worked in Italy, Germany and Florida and on the Ocean Princess cruise ship before moving to Chattanooga.
Flavors of Italy is open Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., closed on Wednesday; and open Saturday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
