Victor Ellis Will Be Missed
posted March 27, 2008

"VICTOR+Y" that was what was printed on the T-shirts that my sister and her friends, classmates of Victor Ellis, sold to raise money for him last fall. This group of people along with coaches, many local businesses and RBHS put together a fund raiser to help him with his many trips to Houston and for his costly medical care. To date I think they raised several thousand dollars.

Victor was such a special person to all of his classmates, teachers and coaches. It is very rare to ever come across an individual such as he. I personally did not know him. But from many conversations that I have heard over the past nine months, he was one of a kind.

He was planning on doing many great things in his life, and it is so unfortunate that his life was taken so early by this terrible and rare cancer.

If you knew Victor, you always knew that no matter what he was smiling. I honestly believe that is what he is doing now. I hope that the people who were closest to him, like the Miller's who definitely were his guardian angels and his classmates will continue to honor him and see that his wishes are fulfilled.

My prayers go out to his family and to all of his many friends. We have lost one of the "good guys.”
