East Ridge battled, but Hixson turned it on for its sixth straight victory of the 2008 high school softball season Thursday afternoon.
At Hixson, the Lady Wildcats scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth and defeated East Ridge, 5-1, in a District 6-AA game.
Hixson ace Dawon Millwood pitched a four-hitter, struck out nine and walked two for Hixson (6-0, 2-0 6-AA).
Ruth Blowe was 3-for-3 with a double for Hixson and Jenevieve Cena was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Taylor Lanham had an RBI single for Hixson while Porschia Johnson, Whitney Galloway and Emily Quarles had one hit each.
Hixson will take its perfect record to Murfreesboro this weekend for the Worth Tournament.
