The East Ridge City Council voted Thursday night to change the schedule for its agenda sessions.
The council has been holding the agenda meetings at 9 a.m. on the morning of the regular council meetings. The East Ridge
City Council meets the second and fourth Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
The new schedule places the agenda meetings on the first and third Thursdays at 9 a.m.
Mayor Mike Steele said that will allow the public a week to react to items for the upcoming meeting.
The old schedule had the agenda meetings falling at the same time as the County Commission agenda meetings. That had caused Commissioner Curtis Adams to miss the last two County Commission agenda sessions. He is serving as interim East Ridge city manager.
