The SunTrust Bank in East Ridge was robbed on Friday morning.
At approximately 10:16 a.m., East Ridge Police responded to the bank at 4323 Ringgold Road.
Police arrived on the scene within one minute as dispatchers were giving suspect information.
Bank employees said the robber was a white male described as 5`7`` to 5`9`` and 180 pounds wearing blue jeans and a button down plaid shirt and a white baseball hat pulled down around his eyes. The suspect also had a light goatee.
The suspect presented a note to the teller stating he had a weapon and demanding money. However, a weapon was never seen. The suspect then left the bank with an undisclosed small amount of money.
He was last seen running east from the bank. The FBI also responded to the bank.
East Ridge Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 867-3720. A confidential tip line is also available 24 hours a day at 867-0016.
