Chattanooga Police property crimes investigators have arrested a city of Chattanooga field supervisor and charged him with theft over $500.
Randy Fields, 47, is charged with taking city property and selling it to a local scrap yard for his own personal gain.
Field was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and was released on his own recognizance.
He will answer to the charges in General Sessions Court at a later date.
The investigation will continue, police said.
