Judge Jordan Takes Guilty Pleas In Meth Conspiracy Case posted March 28, 2008 A senior Knoxville federal judge took pleas in Chattanooga on Friday from a group involved in a major meth ring. Among those getting 20-year sentences were Joe S. Blevins and Donald Henson. They appeared before Judge Leon Jordan. They were part of a $17 million drug ring operating in the Tri-State area. Leslie Cory, attorney for Blevins, said he was not in any trouble until he became addicted to meth when he was in his late 30s. He apologized to his parents, saying, "They raised me better than this." Judge Jordan noted that Blevins had always been a hard worker who had earned a good living prior to getting involved in the ring. Steve Neff was the prosecutor. |
