Lookout Valley Advances In District 6-A Baseball

The Yellow Jackets of Lookout Valley used seven runs in the fifth inning to post an insurmountable lead over the CSAS Patriots Monday afternoon in the District 6-A baseball.

The hosts put two more on in the sixth inning to end the game 13-3.

Zach Phillips had two home runs for CSAS, one in the first and one in the third.

The host Yellow Jackets also had two home runs but theirs were back to back in the fifth inning. Lance Rorex hit his with two teammates on base and Tyler Crowley followed with a solo shot to center field.

Brandon O'Dell finished two for four and Daniel Patrick was two for two with three RBIs.

Rorex got the win for Lookout Valley, allowing just three hits and striking out nine.

Lance Snider pitched five innings for the Patriots and Nick Atkins pitched one.

Lookout Valley will await the winner of Whitwell and CSAS who will meet on Tuesday.

Whitwell beat S. Pittsburg 11-0 in the second game Monday night, ending the season for the Pirates.
