Montaluce Winery Opens Spring Show House Saturday
posted May 6, 2008

Montaluce Winery and Estates -- a 400 acre community with 300 new homes of various sizes, built in the style of old Tuscany alongside 35 acres of vineyards - is having their Spring Show House Saturday and Sunday with special events including the Blessing of the Vines and appearances by Flower Magazine's Margot Shaw and Mimi Brown.

Montaluce is an hour north of Atlanta. Originally scheduled to run through May 11, the Spring Show House Event has been extended by popular demand through Father's Day, June 17.

The Villa Rossese, a Tuscan villa will be completely decorated, furnished and on full display. Proceeds from this event will support the High Museum and Dahlonega's historic Holly Theater.

Beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Father Troy Beecham will preside over a centuries old tradition in the Blessing of The Vines. Everyone is invited to join in the asking for the Almighty Father's blessing for the
upcoming harvest. A Prosecco wine reception will follow the proceedings.

Flower Magazine founder/editor Margot Shaw will speak at 2 p.m. Saturday on the genesis and growth of the publication, as well as some of her favorite flower stories. Also, Flower Magazine's Mimi Brown of "Mimi's Mechanics" will demonstrate the art of creating a summer garden as a centerpiece.

Visitors to Montaluce are encouraged to cap off their enchanted experience by making dinner or lunch reservations at Le Vigne Ristorante, where classic Italian cuisine fuses with styles and tastes of the 21st century.

Located in the north Georgia mountains near the historic town of Dahlonega, Montaluce is known for America's first gold rush in the 1820's. Residents of Montaluce enjoy numerous luxuries including a state of the art winery, an Italian restaurant, miles of walking trails, a world-class spa, mountain
views and plenty of areas dedicated to green space. For more information, visit www.montaluce.com or by phone (706) 867-4060, Toll Free (866) 991-VINO (8466).
