Seventh Annual Stop Osteoporosis Special Train To Stop In Chickamauga

The “Seventh Annual Stop Osteoporosis Special Train,” sponsored by the Georgia Osteoporosis Initiative and Georgia Commission on Women, will stop in Chickamauga, Ga. on Saturday, May 10 in observance of May being National Osteoporosis Month.

Passengers will leave Summerville, Ga. at 9:30 a.m. on the Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway, then travel through the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. On its return voyage it will stop at the historic Walker County Regional Heritage Museum in Chickamauga.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Museum, enjoy musical entertainment, shop and enjoy lunch. Entertainment on the train and at the Depot will include Paul Puckett, recent inductee in the Country Music Hall of Fame; Gary and Beth Duke; and Dr. Ren Halverson.

The train will return to Summerville for an afternoon of health screenings, exhibits, musical entertainment and activities for children.
