CSLA 2nd Graders Sign Beam At Chattanooga Zoo posted May 7, 2008
The students were selected to be part of this ceremony because of their involvement in collecting money for the Chattanooga Zoo as a service learning project. The second grade at CSLA has been involved with this same project for 17 years. One of the animals, a polar bear, on the new carousel at Warner Park has been given in their honor. This year the students also donated their money from their economics project to the Zoo expansion. During this school year the second graders have collected over $800.
