The Youth Theatre of the Chattanooga Theatre Centre presents the children’s classic James and the Giant Peach. Adapted from the book by Roald Dahl. Fate and chance collide when a mistreated boy spills a strange substance near an old peach tree and the magic begins. Tickets are $7 for Friday shows and $9 for Saturday and Sunday matinees. Auditions for Bourbon at the Border
Sunday and Monday, May 11–12, 7:30 p.m.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m. for Bourbon at the Border, a play by Pearl Cleage. Roles are available for four African-American actors: two men and two women to play characters in their 40s. Ricardo Morris will direct. Meet in the lobby of the Circle Theatre. Auditions for Leading Ladies
Sunday and Monday, May 18–19, 7:30 p.m.
Auditions will be held Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m. for the MainStage production of Leading Ladies, a comedy by Ken Ludwig. Roles are available for three women and five men. The Miss Firecracker Contest
May 23 – June 8, 2008
The Miss Firecracker Contest by Beth Henley on the MainStage at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. From our favorite Mississippi-bred playwright comes the earnest tale of an unlikely underdog, dreaming of victory in a local beauty contest and redemption of her tarnished reputation in her small hometown. As with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Crimes of the Heart, this loveable comedy is sure to win first place in your heart. Tickets are $10-$19.50.
