Shane Pike, PE, has been named manager of S&ME’s Chattanooga branch. S&ME is an engineering and environmental services company with 22 offices in the Southeast, five of them in Tennessee.
Mr. Pike holds a BS degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee. He has five years of experience, the last three with S&ME in Chattanooga, where he managed the Construction Services and Geotechnical Engineering department before this promotion.
Mr. Pike is experienced in design and construction services involving earth retention systems, foundations, ground improvement, pavements, landfills and more.
He is also skilled in project management and estimating and has worked extensively with concrete, soils, driven piles and pile load testing.
Mr. Pike is active in leadership roles in professional engineering organizations. He is president of the Chattanooga branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers and treasurer of the Chattanooga branch of the Tennessee Society of Professional engineers and of Chattanooga’s annual Engineers Week observances. He is also involved in the local Relay for Life, which benefits the American Cancer Society.
