Ooltewah's Lady Owls have moved up to No. 24 in the Rivals.com Fab 50 National Softball Rankings.

The Lady Owls were No. 28 last week.

Coach Norma Nelson's team improve to 39-3-1 on Thursday night in winning the District 6-AAA championship with a 2-1 victory in eight innings over two-time defending state champion Soddy-Daisy.

Ooltewah will play host to Bradley Central in a Region 3 semifinal on Monday at 7 p.m.

The Owls broke Soddy-Daisy's string of 10 straight district titles with their Thursday night victory. Ooltewah has now beaten Soddy-Daisy in 3 of 4 games this season.
