Northwest Georgia Bank has hired Michael Pope as a Raymond James financial advisor at the Hixson branch.
He is knowledgeable in investment management, asset allocation, financial planning, insurance planning, and liability management.
A Hixson native and 1996 Boyd-Buchanan graduate, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 2000. He holds Series 7 and 66 Securities Licenses, as well as a Life and Health Insurance License.
Mr. Pope has worked as a financial consultant for AXA Advisors in Chattanooga since 2005. From 2001-05, he worked as a senior financial underwriter for CIGNA Healthcare, and interned with Merrill Lynch from 1999-2000.
He serves on the finance committee of Greater Chattanooga Christian Services. He and his wife Melanie and sons Jonah and Caleb live in Hixson. They attend Clear Creek Church of Christ.
